The purpose of this site is to archive important websites, especially those that contain information that is likely to be a target of censorship.
We use an archivebox server to create archives of pages, and then we use Postmill to link to the archives and discuss them. When a post is made with an external link, the linked page will be archived within 1 hour. The post will then be modified to point to the archive instead of the original. Note that this archiving is only done for whitelisted users. Any user can post, but only whitelisted users will be able to archive.

Whitelist: By default, all new accounts can post links, but these will not be archived. Create a new post in the Welcome forum, and then email me at [email protected] with a request to be whitelisted.
What to archive: Archive any sites that you feel are critical or useful and are likely to be altered, deleted, censored, blocked, or surveilled. Additionally, archive sites you want to discuss or feel might be difficult for others to find on their own.
Takedown Requests:
Email takedown requests to [email protected]. Include proof that you own the content or control the domain. We will do our best to respond quickly to these requests, and remove them from the public archive.
Usage: Videos:
When archiving a page with videos, the video will likely not play in the archived page. Instead, go to /media and click the .mp4 file. The video will then play in browser. Please be cautious when choosing to archive a video, as they are large files and can quickly fill up the server.
Usage: archiving:
Posts will be archived every hour, and the link url will change from the original (external) site to the archived copy. Only posts from users who have been whitelisted will be archived. Please DM superadmin if you wish to be whitelisted. I am doing this as a means to try and control spam and malicious content.
URLs that are posted will be automatically checked against lists of know malicious sites. If the URL is malicious, it will only archive the title, PDF, and mercury summary text. DM superadmin if you think a link was incorrectly marked as suspicious.

All the archived pages can be viewed at archive.threefoldccord.site However, I recommend viewing them here are forum.threefoldcord.site because it enables discussion and commenting about the content. It also allows us to categorize the pages into forum topics.
