A description of the situation and plan of the city of Washington

Washington DC was a very well designed city. The layout was designed to be both utilitarian and beautiful. The monuments and the workings are Government are intertwined, giving a sense of grandeur and magnitude, but also serving as a reminder of the purpose and limits of the Federal Government.
